Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For stuffing:
  2. Chicken - 250 gms
  3. Onion - 250 gms
  4. Green chillies - 1
  5. Coriander leaves - a handful (finely chopped)
  6. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  7. oil - 3 tablespoons
  8. Chicken Masala - a pack (15 gms)
  9. Salt - to taste (its optional as the chicken masala already has salt)
  10. For Dough:
  11. Wheat flour - 50 gms
  12. All purpose flour (Maida) - 50 gms
  13. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  14. oil - 1 teaspoon
  15. For frying:
  16. Oil - 400 ml

Instructions

  1. For stuffing:
  2. Clean the chicken and cook it in a pressure cooker for 1-2 whistles or till it becomes soft
  3. Meanwhile chop the onions , green chillies and coriander leaves
  4. cut the cooked chicken into small pieces
  5. pour the oil in a pan and saute the onions, and green chillies and add ginger garlic paste
  6. Add the shredded chicken pieces to it and also add the chopped coriander leaves
  7. Add the chicken masala and salt if needed
  8. Turn off the flame and keep the stuff aside for sometime
  9. For dough:
  10. Sift the wheat flour, Maida and salt and mix them and add oil
  11. Add water and knead them into dough (consistency of roti dough)
  12. Make small balls of dough in equal size
  13. Take a small ball of dough and roll it into thin roti
  14. Place the stuffing inside the roti and cut it with the Somas cutter
  15. Do the same with all the dough balls
  16. Heat the oil in a frying pan
  17. Fry the chicken somas by turning them into two sides till golden brown
  18. Place them in a plate and garnish with some coriander and mint leaves and taste it with tomato ketchup and enjoy!!
