Spicy Potato Wedges with Cumin and Tamarind

Ingredients to make Spicy Potato Wedges with Cumin and Tamarind

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds, crushed
  • 1 tsp chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp tamarind Paste
  • Fresh cilantro, to garnish

How to make Spicy Potato Wedges with Cumin and Tamarind

  1. Heat the oven to 200°C. Wash and scrub potatoes then cut into chunky wedges with the skin left on. In a large bowl and all the spices and oil to make a rub. Add the potatoes and mix using your hand to coat them with the oil rub.
  2. Place wedges on an oven tray skin side down in a single layer. Place in the oven to cook for 25-30 minutes until crisp and spicy, turning them once or twice to ensure even baking.
  3. Serve hot, garnish with cilantro and chutneys of your choice.

My Tip:

We can use airfrier also.
