ABOUT Instant Yellow Moongdal & Bread Spring Dosa RECIPE

Healthy version of spring dosa with lots of vegetables and protein packed dal. Super snack for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal 1/4 cup soaked for half an hour
  2. Bread slices 6
  3. Dry roasted sooji/rava 2-3 tsp
  4. Buttermilk half glass or more
  5. Vegetables chopped finely 1/4 cup each: Carrots, Capsicum, Onions, French beans, Cabbage and Beetroot
  6. Green chutney to spread on dosa
  7. Tomato sauce 4 tsp
  8. Chilli sauce 1 tsp
  9. Soya sauce 1 tsp
  10. Vinegar 1/2 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. black pepper powder 1 tsp
  13. Haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  14. coriander powder 1 tsp
  15. Butter 2 tsp + clarified butter 1 tsp
  16. Schezwan sauce to serve with

Instructions

  1. Soak bread slices in water for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Drain water by pressing in between your palms.
  3. In a blender add soaked moong dal.
  4. Add soaked and drained bread slices.
  5. Add sooji. Add salt, Red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dhania powder and black pepper powder.
  6. Blend it with buttermilk.
  7. Adjust seasonings & consistency by adding more buttermilk. Keep aside.
  8. Saute all vegetables in butter except beetroot by adding salt and lalmirch powder.
  9. Keep it crunchy. Add all sauces and vinegar.
  10. Grate beetroot and add to vegetables.
  11. Now spread ladleful of moongdal and bread. Mix dosa batter on non stick tawa.
  12. Put little of clarified butter on the sides of dosa.
  13. Flip it on the other side. Spread green chutney over dosa.
  14. Spread vegetables stuffing in the one corner of dosa.
  15. Once it is brown on downside, fold it and roll.
  16. Cut into pieces & serve with Salad. Serve immediately with schezwan sauce.
