Eggless Coconut Macaroons

Ingredients to make Eggless Coconut Macaroons

  • Shredded (desiccated) coconut 2 and 1/2 cups
  • Sweetened condensed milk 1 cup
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • all purpose flour (maida) 1/4 cup
  • soda bi carb a pinch
  • cardamom powder a pinch
  • Baking Powder a pinch
  • If you want you can add chopped almonds (I did not add)

How to make Eggless Coconut Macaroons

  1. In a large bowl combine sweetened milk, milk.
  2. Whisk well.
  3. Add cardamom powder, soda , baking powder and flour and mix.
  4. Add coconut powder and mix it well.
  5. If after combining all ingredients batter is watery then add two teaspoon of semolina/rava.
  6. Batter should be nice and firm.
  7. Preheat oven on 180 C.
  8. Drop tablespoonful of dough about one inch apart in a baking tray and bake in preheated oven at 180 C until it becomes golden around the edges (it will take approximately 15 minutes).
  9. Let cool it for 10 minutes.
  10. Then transfer to a container.

My Tip:

Do not try to remove the macaroons from tray once they are out of oven because they will be very flimsy.
