Curry Leaves Paneer Tikka Burger

Ingredients to make Curry Leaves Paneer Tikka Burger

  • Burger buns – 6
  • paneer – 200 gms
  • onion – 2
  • tomato - 1
  • cucumber – 1
  • butter – 3 tbsp
  • oil – 2 tsp
  • Cheese spread - 1 tbsp
  • For the marinade: curry leaves – 1/4 cup tightly packed
  • yogurt - 5-6 tbsp
  • Cheese spread – 1 tbsp
  • cumin powder (jeera)- 1 tsp
  • amchur powder (dry mango) - 1 tsp
  • Chat masala – 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder – 1/4th tsp
  • sugar – 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Curry Leaves Paneer Tikka Burger

  1. To make the marinade:
  2. Wash the curry leaves, drain and dab it with a clean cloth to remove the moisture.
  3. Dry roast the leaves till it turns crisp and make a coarse powder.
  4. Add the other ingredients mentioned, mix well to make a smooth mixture.
  5. Cut paneer into cubes and coat it well with the prepared marinade. Let it rest for 30- 45 mins.
  6. Slice the onions. Heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and a pinch of salt and sauté till it turns golden. Keep it aside.
  7. Peel, wash and slice the cucumber. Wash and slice the tomato.
  8. Heat a tawa. Add butter and toast the burger buns.
  9. Add butter again and shallow fry the marinated paneer.
  10. To the remaining marinade, add a tbsp of cheese spread and mix it well.
  11. To assemble the burger:
  12. Spread some marinade on the bun. Arrange tomato and cucumber slices.
  13. Now place 2 paneer tikkas and top it with sautéed onions and some marinade.
  14. Close it with other half of the bun and serve.
