Butter Garlic Prawns

Ingredients to make Butter Garlic Prawns

  • Prawns - 500gms
  • butter - 13gms
  • garlic - 8 pearls finely chopped
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • lemon juice - 1 lime
  • Chill powder (optional) - 1 tsp
  • parsley - 3 sprigs

How to make Butter Garlic Prawns

  1. Prawn preparation: Wash the prawns and remove the head and the tail (optional), remove the vein on the top and below.
  2. In a bowl, add the prawns, turmeric powder, salt and lime juice. Mix well, that the prawn is coated well and let it marinate for 30mins.
  3. After 30 mins, heat butter in a sauce pan and once the butter has melted add the garlic and fry till the garlic is golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated prawns and cook until the prawns are cooked. Maximum for 5mins. Prawns take very less time to cook. Switch of the gas and serve.

My Tip:

Prawns become rubbery when they are overcooked.
