ABOUT Rava kesari RECIPE

This is a famous dessert of southern India, where semolina is cooked with little saffron to give that orange yellow color.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Semolina - 1/2 cup
  2. sugar - 1/2 cup [can be increased or decreased according to personal preference].
  3. Saffron - couple of strands
  4. milk - 1 cup
  5. Almonds 10
  6. ghee

Instructions

  1. Lightly roast the semolina, until it smells. Keep aside.
  2. In another pan. Boil milk , to the boiling milk add few strands of saffron..
  3. Add the roasted rava [semolina] to the boiling milk.
  4. Add sugar to it
  5. Stir well and cook until it thickens. serve with some slices almonds on top.
