Ingredients to make Poha Pattiz

  • Poha 200 gms
  • peas 50 gms
  • Sweet corns - 50 gms
  • onions -2
  • potato - 1
  • capsicum - 1
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Black mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • oilve oil - 4-5 tbsp
  • salt according to taste
  • Red chilli Powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp

How to make Poha Pattiz

  1. Keep the poha under running water for 2 minutes and strain it.
  2. Chop one onion, potato, capsicum, green chili and peel the peas.
  3. Boil the sweet corns and peas for 5 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, take a pan and heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in it. Add black mustard seeds in it and let them crackle.
  5. Stir fry the chopped potato in it.
  6. Add all the chopped vegetables and stir fry in oil it for 2 -3 minutes
  7. Add turmeric, salt and chili powder to it.
  8. Strain the boiled sweetcorns and peas.
  9. Add the strained poha to the stir-fried vegetables and mix well. Turn off the flame after one minute.
  10. Now cook on slow flame. Add half cup rice flour in it and add boiled sweet corns and peas in it.
  11. Chop one onion in it and mix well. The crisp flavor of onion after stir-frying will taste delicious.
  12. Mix well and add one tbsp of olive oil in it.
  13. Shape it like flat patties.
  14. In a flat heavy bottom pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and heat it. Cook the patties two at a time from both the sides. When it turns to golden color off the flame.
  15. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
