ABOUT Curd rice my style.( from East to South) RECIPE

A southern delicasy Curd Rice is our family favourite. Whenever we make Methi thepala or Gujarati Muthia it is accompanied by Curd rice at my place.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cooked Rice. 2 cups.
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. For Seasoning
  4. Oil 1 tbsp
  5. Chana Daal( soaked) 1/2 tsp
  6. Urad daal 1 tsp
  7. Green chilli finely chopped 3 no..
  8. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  9. Ginger grated 1 tbsp
  10. Ground nuts 1 tbsp
  11. Asafoetida a pinch
  12. Garnished and mixing
  13. Roasted Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  14. Pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  15. Onion finely chopped 2
  16. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Let the cooked rice cool to room temperature
  2. Heat oil , add asafoetida and than Chana daal.
  3. Saute till it dries , add mustard seeds, green chillis Ground nuts, Urad daal.
  4. As ground nuts are fried , add curry patta and ginger.
  5. Fry for 1 minute and pour over Cooked rice.
  6. Add curd. Garnish with Chopped Onions, Pomegranate seeds, Sesame seeds and coriander leaves.
  7. You can eat it ready or can cool it in refrigerator for half an hour and then consume.
