Ingredients to make Curd rice my style.( from East to South)

  • Cooked rice. 2 cups.
  • curd 1 cup
  • For Seasoning
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • chana Daal( soaked) 1/2 tsp
  • Urad daal 1 tsp
  • Green chilli finely chopped 3 no..
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • ginger grated 1 tbsp
  • ground nuts 1 tbsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Garnished and mixing
  • Roasted sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  • onion finely chopped 2
  • coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp

How to make Curd rice my style.( from East to South)

  1. Let the cooked rice cool to room temperature
  2. Heat oil , add asafoetida and than Chana daal.
  3. Saute till it dries , add mustard seeds, green chillis Ground nuts, Urad daal.
  4. As ground nuts are fried , add curry patta and ginger.
  5. Fry for 1 minute and pour over Cooked rice.
  6. Add curd. Garnish with Chopped Onions, Pomegranate seeds, Sesame seeds and coriander leaves.
  7. You can eat it ready or can cool it in refrigerator for half an hour and then consume.

My Tip:

If you want to carry in tiffin for lunch than you can dilute curd with milk so it won't ger sour. In summers you can add little curd in warm milk and add in seasoned rice and carry in hot case. During that time the curd will be prepared.
