ABOUT Phirni in microwave RECIPE

Phirni , a classic sweet dish , made with basmati rice , jaggery and milk

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 1 1/2 cup
  2. Sugar 1/3 cup or jaggery powder
  3. Almonds chopped 4
  4. Milk 3 cups
  5. Milk powder 1/2 cup
  6. Cardamom Powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice for 2_3 hrs
  2. Now strain and grind with some more water
  3. Now in a microwave safe bowl add milk , milk powder and rice
  4. Microwave in high heat for 9 mins , stir every 30 seconds , to avoid forming lumps
  5. Now add sugar or jaggery
  6. Again microwave in high heat for 3 more minutes , stir in between
  7. Now your phirni is ready
  8. Cool them in freezer for 3 hrs
  9. Add rose water or kewra water
  10. Add chopped almonds , pistachios
  11. Serve chilled
