ABOUT Lasun batata poori (garlic potato poori) RECIPE

Soft wheat poori made with indian spices combining potato and garlic. It can be served with mint chutney or as a side with with any curry.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup potato - boiled and mashed
  2. 1 1/2 cup wheat (atta)
  3. 4-5 garlic cloves - minched or paste
  4. 1/2 cup coriander leaves - finely chopped
  5. Dry mango powder - 1 tbsp
  6. Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  7. Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
  8. Salt - as per taste
  9. Oil - for frying
  10. Baking soda 1 tsp
  11. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  12. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. First mash the potato properly after boiling in pressure cooker and peeling it.
  2. Add red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, dry mango powder, garlic paste,cumin seeds, coriander leaves , garam masala to potato and mix well.
  3. Now add the wheat flour and knead into soft dough by adding little water. Apply little oil and cover the dough for 10 mins.
  4. Heat oil in the deep bottom vessel. Now divide the dough in to equal parts and roll them into small poori and deep fry them. Server them hot.

Garlic paste is to be added with all the powders to the mashed potato as given in second no. of method
