Ingredients to make Chuda Kadali Khiri

  • Flattened rice/poha(thick) 1cup
  • Milk sufficient for soaking poha plus 1/2glass
  • Grated coconut 2tspn
  • Sugar/jaggery 2tspn or according to taste
  • cardamom powder 1 generous pinch
  • banana 1

How to make Chuda Kadali Khiri

  1. Wash and soak poha in milk till soft. The soaking time will depend on thickness of poha. However as mentioned thick variety poha is preferable for this dish.
  2. Milk must be in room temperature or chilled.
  3. Along with other ingredients add fine slices of banana. Mix well and serve immediately.
  4. In this dish since we add banana its recommended to have it fresh.
  5. One can choose from jaggery or sugar.
  6. Serve cold.
