Bombay Duck Curry with Vegetables

Ingredients to make Bombay Duck Curry with Vegetables

  • Bombay Duck or Bombil - 6
  • potato - 2 (small)
  • egg Plant – 1 (small)
  • Long Beans – 2-3
  • Flat Beans – 2-3
  • radish – 1 (small)
  • onion - 2 (chopped)
  • garlic Past – 2 tbsp.
  • green chillies (Chopped) - 3 to 4
  • turmeric powder:- 2 teaspoon
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • oil – 2cup
  • salt - as per taste

How to make Bombay Duck Curry with Vegetables

  1. Clean the Bombay Duck & marinate with salt & turmeric.
  2. Cut all the vegetables in small pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Fry all the vegetables separately with pinch of turmeric powder and salt. Drain the oil and keep them aside.
  4. In the same oil, add chopped Onion and fry till it becomes golden in color.
  5. Now, add garlic past, green chilies and saute well.
  6. Add the fishes one by one to it and cover the pan for 3-4 min.
  7. Open the lid and take the fishes out of the pan.
  8. Now add the fried vegetables, turmeric powder, chili powder to the pan and mix very well. Add little of water, if need. Cover again for 3-4 min.
  9. In the mean time, remove the fish-bones from the fishes.
  10. Now, open the lid and move the vegetables and make a place in middle.
  11. Put the fishes in this place. Then cover the fish with cooked vegetables. Cover it again for 3-4 min.
  12. After the time, open the lid and mix the fishes with vegetables. Stir continuously.
  13. Take the flame off when the curry becomes dry and separates oil.
  14. Serve hot with smoked Rice.

My Tip:

Adjust the measurement of chili and garlic as per your taste. You can add more vegetables in it.
