Ingredients to make Bhetki kata chchori /bhetki fish head curry with potato

  • Bhetki fish head - 1
  • potatoes - 5 ,cut into cube
  • onion - 1 .thinly sliced
  • garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • ginger - 1tsp
  • Tomatoe -1 ,chopped
  • Green chili - 1 /2
  • turmeric - 1tsp
  • Chili powder- 1tsp
  • cumin Powder- 1tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 1/2tsp
  • salt - As required
  • sugar - 2/4 tsp
  • Green cardamom - 2
  • Cinanman - 1/2 inch stick
  • clove - 3
  • bay leaf - 1
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp

How to make Bhetki kata chchori /bhetki fish head curry with potato

  1. Marinate fish head with 1/2tsp turmeric and salt .then fry fish head both sides till light brown and cooked.
  2. Heat kadai with 2tbsp oil .add bay leaf .cardamom cinnamon and cloves.
  3. As whole spices sizzles. Add potatoes. Fry it for 1min.
  4. Then add sliced onion .saute it till translucent. Then add ginger and garlic paste and slit green chili ..stirring it for 1 minute.
  5. Then add tomatoes .stir it till tomatoes are soft..add all dry powder ingredients. Add 2tbsp water and stirring it for 1 min or till oil separate.
  6. Now add a cup of water .bring to boil.cover kadai.Then down flame .simmer it for 5mints.
  7. After 5mints open up cover .Add fried fish head.give a nice stir and cover kadai for further 6-7 mi ts or till potatoes cooked well and gravy thicken.
  8. When gravy thicken upto 80% means its done..Check seasoning...Add garam masala ..give a stir.turn off gas.cover kadai..give 3mints standing time..Then place it on a serving bowl.
  9. Server hot with steam rice..
