Ingredients to make SOYA CHUNKS BRIYANI / MEAL MAKER RICE

  • oil 2 tbspn
  • ghee 2 tbspn
  • cloves 2
  • bay leaf 2
  • Star anis 1
  • cinnamon 1 inch piece
  • mint leaves fistful
  • coriander leaves fistful
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbspn
  • Green chili 1
  • onion 1
  • tomato 1
  • Soya chunks 1 cup
  • Red chili powder 1 tbspn
  • coriander powder 1.5 tbspn
  • salt to taste
  • Garam masala 1 tspn
  • rice 1 cup
  • water 2 cups + 1/2 cup

How to make SOYA CHUNKS BRIYANI / MEAL MAKER RICE

  1. Soak Basmati rice for 45 mints. Boil water and bring it to roll boil and turn off the stove . Then add cup of soya chunks to the boiled water and cover it for ten mints. Then strain the water from soya chunks. Roughly chop onion, g.chili, tomato,coriander leaves and mint leaves.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat the oil and ghee, add whole spices, onion,g.chili , ginger garlic paste . Once its cooked add the tomatoes and saute well.
  3. Add the red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala and stir well. Add the soya balls , mint leaves , coriander leaves. Also drain water from rice and add to it.
  4. Add water,salt and give a gentle mix. Once the water bubbles started close and pressure cook in a medium high flame for two whistle.
  5. Serve Briyani with Raita

My Tip:

If you use big soya chunks then cut into small pieces and use it. Increase or Decrease soya chunks as per the taste.
