Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Deveined shrimps or prawns 1 cup
  2. Grated coconut 1 cup
  3. Green coriander leaves 1 cup
  4. Garlic pods 3-4 big
  5. green spicy chilles 2 nos
  6. Lemon size tamarind
  7. Chopped onion 1 no
  8. Chopped tomato 1 no
  9. Oil 2 tablespoon
  10. Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean and devein prawns. Wash and drain it put some salt and turmeric mix it and put it aside.
  2. We need to grind garlic, grated coconut , green coriander leaves, tamarind, chillies into a smooth paste chutney
  3. In a pan take some oil saute onions till its translucent, add tomato into it and saute for a while.
  4. Add the green grinded chutney now. Bring it to good boil.
  5. Now add prawns to the boiled green gravy. Let it cook till the prawns shrink in size and changes its colour. Add salt at this stage.
  6. Remember we have marinated the prawns with salt and turmeric before. Serve hot with rice or roti
