Ingredients to make Tahri

  • 1 cup rice( basmati rice)
  • 1 cup cauliflower (chopped)
  • 250gm green peas
  • 1 potatoes (chopped)
  • 2 tomotes (chopped)
  • 1 inch ginger (greated)
  • Half tea spoon Garam masala
  • 1/4 cumin seeds
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 bay leaves
  • 1 pinch hing
  • Half spoon coriander powder
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • ghee/Oil
  • Garnish with green coriander

How to make Tahri

  1. Soak the rice for 30 mins in water.
  2. Take a pressure cooker put some ghee.let the ghee heat add the cumin seeds,bay leaves,hing after few second.
  3. Add ginger and green chilli cook for few second.Now add all the spices mix it well.
  4. Now add potatoes,cauliflower and peas saute it for few second.After few second add tomotes and saute it for few second.Add salt to veggie according to your taste.
  5. Now add the soaked rice and saute it for few second.Now it time to close the led of the pressure cooker.And one whistle it.
  6. Now it is ready to eat. Garnish it with green coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Dont over cook tge rice otherwise you will loose the texture of the rice.
