Ingredients to make Chinese veg fried rice

  • rice,cooked -1 big bowl
  • carrot,finely chopped -1 medium sized
  • cabbage, finely chopped into small pieces -1 cup
  • capsicum,finely chopped- 1/2 cup
  • spring onion, finely chopped -1 no
  • ginger, finely chopped -1 table spoon
  • garlic, finely chopped -1 table spoon
  • Oil (olive/any refined) -1 table spoon
  • Soya sauce -1 /2 tspn
  • vinegar -1 tspn
  • Black pepper powder- 1/4 tspn
  • Ajinomoto (optional) -1/4tsp
  • salt -to taste

How to make Chinese veg fried rice

  1. Heat oil in a wok and add ginger and garlic. Sauté them for 2 min.
  2. Add chopped carrots and sauté them for two min.
  3. Now add vinegar, soya sauce, ajinomoto, salt,black pepper powder and mix well. Now add cooked rice ,chopped spring onion (keep chopped leaves of spring onion for the last minute addition from top),capsicum and cabbage. Toss them well.
  4. Now add few chopped leaves of spring onion and serve hot Veg Chinese fried rice garnished with spring onions.
  5. Note:Left over cooked rice can also be used very well.
  6. You can add different vegetables as per your choice,taste and availability.
  7. Soya sauce already has sodium in it so add salt carefully.
  8. Soya sauce may have ajinomoto in it so buy carefully.
  9. Add cabbage and capsicum in the last so that their crunchiness is not lost during cooking.
