ABOUT Cold Prawn Salad RECIPE

This salad is so comforting and delicious that it could be served as a whole meal. It is nutritious too. This salad is very easy to make and not so complicated. You just have to get the ingredients ready and then give them a good mix. There you have a wonderful and colorful bowl of cool salad!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Prawns 10
  2. White button mushrooms 5
  3. Broccoli florets 5
  4. Cooked pasta 1/2 cup
  5. Cucumber (diced, deseeded) 1/4 cup
  6. Tomato (diced, deseeded) 1/4 cup
  7. Garlic (sliced) 4 pods
  8. Salt as required
  9. Olive oil or vegetable oil 1 tbsp
  10. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  12. Red chili flakes 1 tsp
  13. Oregano 1/2 tsp
  14. Dried rosemary 1/2 tsp
  15. Mayonnaise 2 tbsp
  16. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Marinate the cleaned prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt.
  2. Let it rest for about an hour.
  3. Then boil about 1 and 1/2 cups of water and add the marinated prawns and cook them for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Once done, remove from flame and allow to cool completely.
  5. Next wash and clean the mushrooms and slice them.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add the sliced garlic and saute for a minute.
  8. Then add the sliced mushrooms and saute for 4-5 minutes, until they turn light brown.
  9. Once done, remove from flame and allow to cool completely.
  10. Next blanch the broccoli florets in water with little salt.
  11. Allow to cool completely.
  12. Now in a big bowl, take the cooked prawns, sauteed garlic and mushrooms, broccoli, cooked pasta, cucumber, and tomatoes.
  13. Add in the mayonnaise and mix well.
  14. Add more salt if required.
  15. Add in the dried rosemary, oregano and chili flakes. Mix well.
  16. Delicious salad is ready.
  17. Refrigerate until use.
