Rice Kheer

Ingredients to make Rice Kheer

  • 3/4 cup basmathi rice soaked in water fir 1 hr.
  • 11/2 ltrs milk
  • 200gms condensed milk
  • Elachi 4
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Nuts for garnish
  • 1 tbsp ghee

How to make Rice Kheer

  1. Soak rice for 1 hr . Take milk in a heavy bottom pan and add the soaked rice leaving 3 tbsp for grinding. Heat this mixture and keep stirring.
  2. Grind 3 tbsp rice and keep aside. Cook the milk and rice till milk boils then reduce flame and cook for 1/2 hr.
  3. Add the grounded rice ,sugar, condensed milk and cook for another 15 min on low flame. The rice must be cooked by this time . . Garnish with nuts and enjoy.

My Tip:

You can skip condensed milk by using milk powder add 6 tbsp milk powder to 1 cup luke warm water and yse it.
