ABOUT Bakheer(Sugarcane juice pudding) RECIPE

An ancient rice recipe made with fresh sugarcane juice i got to make during my village trip. As i easily got the fresh juice directly from farms.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Fresh sugarcane juice 2ltrs
  2. Sticky Rice 250grams soaked
  3. Almonds chopped 1cup

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugarcane juice in a large, thick bottomed pan.
  2. Add soaked rice into boiling juice and keep stirring.
  3. You may use slow cooker to make this recipe but I made on brick stove with thick bottomed pan .
  4. Traditionally it is served with cooled milk to increase its pouring consistency .
