Ingredients to make Brown rice oats and cheese cutlet

  • 1 ½ cups of cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cheese cube (10 gms)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 green chilli deseeded and cut into thin strips
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • oil for frying

How to make Brown rice oats and cheese cutlet

  1. Grind the rice to a fine paste.
  2. Dry roast the oats till fragrant and grind to a fine powder.
  3. Cut the cheese cubes into 8 equal pieces and keep ready.
  4. Take the rice paste, oats powder, and all the other ingredients except cheese and oil in a bowl and mix well.
  5. Check for taste and add salt, dry mango powder or pepper powder if necessary.
  6. Divide the mixture into 8 equal balls, take 1 ball and flatten
  7. Place one cheese piece at the centre and carefully seal it with the mixture and shape to form cutlets.
  8. In the same way prepare all the patties.
  9. Heat oil in a pan, and when oil is hot, deep fry the cutlets till golden brown in colour.
  10. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
