ABOUT Honey Chilli Shrimp Fritters RECIPE

This dish is made using very tiny shrimps called Jawla or Kolim. Given it a twist in the sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For shrimp fritters : 7 tbsp multi purpose flour
  2. 250 grams of shrimps
  3. 3 tablespoon - onion (chop thinly)
  4. 1 teaspoon - red chilli powder
  5. 1 teaspoon - ginger garlic paste
  6. 1 tablespoon - Finely chopped coriander to garnish
  7. Salt to taste.
  8. Oil for Deep frying
  9. for sauce : 4 cloves minced garlic
  10. 1 red capsicum roughly chopped
  11. 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  12. 1/2 tablespoon - red chilli sauce
  13. 1 1/2 tablespoon Honey
  14. 2 teaspoon vinegar
  15. 1 teaspoon chopped spring onions
  16. 1 teapoon - sesame seeds
  17. 2 tablespoon Refined oil

Instructions

  1. To make the fritters, Wash the shrimps thoroughly and drain all water ( very Important).
  2. Mix all the ingredients for fritters except the oil.
  3. Heat oil . Add one teaspoon of the batter and deep fry to get crispy fritters.
  4. Now to prepare the sauce, heat a heavy bottomed vessel, add oil and add the garlic and capsicum and saute on high flame for a few seconds.
  5. Add the red chili sauce, tomato sauce and vinegar and combine them all together.
  6. Add the fritters and toss for a minute on medium-high flame. Add honey and toss the content till well combined. Turn off the heat.
  7. Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and garnish with spring onion greens or coriander leaves.
