ABOUT One Plate Meal.( multi cereal corn vege dhokala) RECIPE

LIGHT DINNER is any time good for health. So presenting Dhokala with Rice, Daals,Ragi, wheat Rawa, Besan, Corn, Spinach and Bottle gourd.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice Soaked overnight and coarse grind and fermented for 7 to 8 hrs 2 cups.
  2. Daals soaked overnight and grind and fermented for a day. 8 hrs. 2 cups ( Tur daal, Masoor daal, Moong daal)
  3. Wheat Rawa 1/2 cup.
  4. Besan 1/2 cup
  5. Ragi 1/2 cup
  6. Boiled corn 1 cup
  7. Spinach leaves washed and finely chopped 1 cup
  8. Bottle gourd grated 1/2 cup
  9. Garlic crushed 2 tsp
  10. Ginger grated 2 tsp
  11. Salt, Chilli powder, Turmeric to taste
  12. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
  13. Oil for seasoning 2 tbsp
  14. Curd to be added while fermentation 2 tbsp
  15. Asafoetida 1/2 tsp
  16. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  17. Sesame seeds 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mix daal and Rice while grinding and add Curd in it.
  2. Keep for fermentation for 7 to 8 hrs at warm place.
  3. Add all flours , Veges to it.
  4. Add Ginger Garlic and all masala to the fermented batter.
  5. Add hot oil ( 2 tsp ) with soda and mix well.
  6. Grease a plate and spread the batter. Garnish with coriander leaves and steam till clear toothpick test.
  7. Season in hot oil with Asafoetida, Mustard seeds , Curry patta and Sesame seeds.
  8. Enjoy with Hot chocolate milk/ coffee/ Soup/ juice / buttermilk.
