Ingredients to make Chitoi Pithe / Rice flour Pancake Eggless

  • rice soaked 2 cups
  • Cooked rice 1/2 cup smashed
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • Oil or ghee 2 tsp
  • For jaggery syrup :
  • jaggery 1 cup
  • water 2 cups warm
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp

How to make Chitoi Pithe / Rice flour Pancake Eggless

  1. Soak rice for 3_4 hrs
  2. Grind to a smooth paste with water
  3. Add smashed rice , salt and baking powder
  4. Blend well
  5. Keep aside for 1/2 an hour
  6. The batter will be medium consistency
  7. Take a nonstick frying pan
  8. Add 3_4 drops of oil
  9. Spread with the help of cotton or kithen tissue
  10. Now put one ladle batter
  11. Cover it with a lid
  12. Wait for some time
  13. When bubbles appear flip it
  14. Again wait for 2_3 mins
  15. Continue the steps until all the batter finished up
  16. Now make jaggery syrup
  17. Boil water and jaggery
  18. When the syrup thickened switch off gas
  19. Serve hot
