Ingredients to make Falooda

  • Cut Fruits – 2 cups
  • Boiled Milk – 1 litre ( 4 cups)
  • Falooda Sev – 10 strands
  • Basil seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 10 tbsp
  • Vanilla ice cream – 4 scoops (Optional)
  • honey – 1 tbsp
  • Nuts - for toppping

How to make Falooda

  1. I’ve used apple, mango, banana and strawberry which i had at hand, you can use fruits of your choice.
  2. Add Basil seeds in a 1/2 cup water and leave aside for 10 mins.
  3. In a vessel add 4 cups of water, bring it to boil and add Falooda sev.
  4. Boil falooda sev until its soft (same way like we cook noodles).
  5. Strain the water and cut the Faloodo sev strands into medium vermicelli size and keep aside.
  6. Take boiled cold milk, add sugar, vanilla ice cream and mix well until both sugar and vanilla ice cream dissolve completely.
  7. Add Basil seeds and falooda sev and mix well.
  8. Now add fruits in the milk and mix well.
  9. Refrigerate at least for an hour. Add honey, nuts with a scoop of ice cream. Serve cold.
My Tip: Falooda sev strands are very hard, it’s really hard to break, so add the strands as such in boiling water. Once the sev is boiled, it becomes soft and later we can cut it into vermicelli size. – Instead of sugar you can add honey fully – Adding banana will enhance the falooda flavor
