Ingredients to make Sole Machher Tel Jhal / Sole fish gravy

  • Sole fish pieces 6
  • onion 1
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • garlic Pods 4
  • tomato 1
  • Green chilli 2
  • bay leaf 1
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • Spring onion 2 chopped

How to make Sole Machher Tel Jhal / Sole fish gravy

  1. Wash fish pieces
  2. Marinate with turmeric powder and salt
  3. Keep aside for 15 mins
  4. Now fry both sides lightly
  5. Make a paste of onion , garlic , ginger , green chilli and tomato
  6. Heat oil in a nonstick pan
  7. In a small bowl mix turmeric powder , cumin powder , coriander powder , chilli powder and 2 tsp water
  8. Add this mixture to the pan
  9. Saute for 4_5 mins
  10. Add onion , garlic paste saute another 4_5 mins
  11. When oil separates from the spices add spring onions , reserve some for garnishing
  12. After 3_4 mins add 1 cup warm water
  13. When gravy starts boiling add fish pieces
  14. Boil for 5_6 mins in high heat
  15. Switch off gas
  16. Garnish with spring onions
  17. Serve hot with rice
