Ingredients to make Masala shankarpali Or Spicy diamond cuts

  • all purpose flour 2 cup
  • Rice flour 2 Tbsp
  • baking soda 1 pinch
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 1tbsp
  • Turmaric powder 1/4 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • White seasame 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 1 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • water as required

How to make Masala shankarpali Or Spicy diamond cuts

  1. Sift the flour add in baking soda, salt mix well
  2. Add red chilli powder, turmaric powder , cumin seeds, fennel seeds , white seasame , ajwain, mix with hands
  3. Take tadaka pan heat the oil on medium flame
  4. after heat oil turn off flame and add in flour in middle hole of flour mixture
  5. Rub the flour with finger and palm nicely
  6. It will apear like crumbs
  7. Now start kneading to dough add as required water knead nicely 7 to 8 min, dough will make hard do not make smooth or soft
  8. Keep the dough aside covered with musline cloth or cleaned cotton cloth (Wet) For 15 to 20 min.
  9. Now to take dough make big ball and roll them with thin chapati
  10. Take knife and cut them into diamond shapes
  11. Now heat the oil in deep vessel oil is hot add the shankarpali to it on low flame fry till nice golden brown colour remove them
  12. Allow to cool store them into airtight container
