Ingredients to make Broken wheat pulao

  • 3/4 cup broken wheat
  • 1/2 cup broken rice
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 medium sized potato cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup cabbage finely chopped
  • 1 green chilly finely chopped
  • 2 medium size tomato finely choppec
  • 1 medium so me onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • handful corriender leaves
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp corriender powder
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Broken wheat pulao

  1. take oil in pressure cooker and add mustard seeds when oil hetead and let it splutter
  2. now add cumin seeds, asafoetida curry leaves, green chillies and onion one by one
  3. saute onions till pinkish in colour
  4. now add cabbage,cauliflower, peas,and potato and mix propely
  5. add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,salt, garam masala and mix well with all vegetables
  6. now add tomato and broken wheat and broken rice and give a good mix to all ingredients
  7. add water and then cover the pressure cooker and cook upto 2 whistle
  8. let the steam realese and lastly sprinkle some corriender leaves
  9. broken wheat pulaw is ready to serve
  10. serve with raita

My Tip:

always serve hot..and add vegetables of your choice
