ram ladoo is popular Delhi street food, made with chana and moong dal, these savory ladoos dipped in tangy, spicy chutney and topped with grated reddish and reddish leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hari moong ki chilke wali dal 200gms
  2. Chana dal 100gms
  3. Salt to taste
  4. A pinch of heeng
  5. Red Chili powder to taste
  6. Chopped green chili 2-3
  7. Ginger 1" finely chopped
  8. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  9. Oil 1 tsp
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Drinking soda 1tsp
  12. For chutney---coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  13. green chili 4 to 6
  14. salt 1/2tsp or to taste
  15. lemon juice 2tbsp.
  16. For serving-- 1.grated reddish, finely chopped reddish leaves and finely chopped coriander leaves.

Instructions

  1. How to make chutney--- Wash and clean the coriander and chili and roughly chop them. Now blend together with salt, and lemon juice, take it out in a bowl.
  2. Wash and soak the lentils for 4 to 6 hours separately, now remove the skin of moong dal. Grind it to a fine paste, it should be a very fine paste. mix both lentils in a bowl and beat them together till the mixture gets fluffy and light in
  3. Now add the salt, red chili powder, green chili, ginger, coriander, heeng, 1tsp oil and 1tsp drinking soda to the lentil mixture with light hand. Heat the oil, fry the balls on medium heat till they turn in golden color. place an absorbent
  4. Take 4 to 5 balls in a serving plate, add green chutney and top it off grated reddish, reddish leaves and coriander leaves.
