Andhra Chicken Curry

Ingredients to make Andhra Chicken Curry

  • 1/2 kg chicken chopped to medium sized pieces and cleaned
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1tbsp of ginger-garlic-chilli paste
  • Dhaniya powder -1 tbsp
  • Turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder -1 tbsp
  • Garam masala-1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves-1/2 cup
  • Pepper powder -1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds-1 tbsp
  • Coconut chopped -1/4 cup
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • salt as needed

How to make Andhra Chicken Curry

  1. In a pan add oil, once hot add onions and saute well until done .
  2. Add ginger-garlic-chilli paste and saute for few seconds. Add chopped tomatoes and fry well.
  3. Add turmeric, chili, garam masala powder and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add daniya powder and saute well again. Add coriander leaves and saute for a minute.
  5. Now grind the sesame seeds and coconut well into a thick puree by adding water.
  6. Add this paste in the above and fry well for 4 minutes.
  7. Now add the chicken pieces and fry well.
  8. Add water, salt, pepper powder and mix well and cook until done.
  9. Serve with a hot bowl of rice and enjoy
