Varhadi Aloo Bhat

Ingredients to make Varhadi Aloo Bhat

  • 2 cup rice
  • 1ginger roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp termeric powder
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 5 green chillies
  • 4-5 coriender springs
  • 2 tsp dried coconut grated
  • 2 cups fried potato
  • 10-12 cashew nut fried
  • 3 tsp yogurt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 tsp oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Varhadi Aloo Bhat

  1. Soak rice in some water
  2. In a grinding jar take coriender seeds,ginger,green chillies,cinnamon stick,termeric powder,asafoetida,coriender springs add some water and grind well and make smooth paste of it.
  3. Strain the rice,boil water in pan now add this rice in boiling water and boil it.
  4. Heat oil in other pan,add all blend masala,now add fried potato and yogurt in this.
  5. Now add boil rice in potato masala and mix well.
  6. Now add salt and hot water in it and cover the pan for cook the rice.
  7. When rib cooked add fried cashew nut and grated coconut in it,cook again for few min.
  8. Serve hot with pickle
