ABOUT Matar paneer RECIPE

Matar paneer is a dish thats almost everyones favourite. Its a blend of indian spices in which matar and paneer are cooked with rich gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 200 gm
  2. Green peas 300 gm
  3. 3 cardamom
  4. 1 star aneseed
  5. 2 Bay Leaves
  6. I red chilli
  7. Kashmiri red mirch powder 1 tbsp
  8. Jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Kasuri methi 1 teaspoon
  10. Kitchen king masala 1 tbsp
  11. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  12. Dhaniya powder 1 tbsp
  13. Salt as required
  14. Sugar pinch of
  15. Black salt
  16. Onion 2 medium
  17. Tomato 3 medium
  18. Gerlic 5 to 6
  19. Cashew 10 to 12
  20. Ginger 1 inch
  21. Malai or fresh cream 2 tbsp
  22. Oil or deshi ghee 3 to 4 tbsp
  23. Butter 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop ginger, garlic, onion and tomatoes.
  2. Heat a pab add i tbsp oil, now add ginger and garlic and saute for 30 sec.
  3. Now add onions and saute for 5 to 6 minutes or till it become translucent.
  4. Now add tomatoes and cover with lid till they becomes soft.
  5. Cool down this mixture completely when cooked and grind into a smooth paste.
  6. Heat a pan add 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter and all whole spices and saute for 10 to 15 sec.
  7. Add kashmiri mirch powder and turmeric powder, saute for 5 sec and add the paste in it stir for 2 minutes.
  8. Add malai/cream to this and stir for 2 minutes. Now add all dry spices. And cover with lid fir 6 to 7 minutes.
  9. Now add pre boiled peas and paneer cubes to it. After 10 minutes remove the lid and add roasted Kasuri methi to it.
  10. Garnish it with butter and coriander.
