ABOUT #MITHO LOLO RECIPE

Authentic sindhi recipe, griddle roasted sweet flat bread served at room temperature, made up of whole wheat flour, sugar and ghee , flavoured with cardamom powder. These have good shelf life so ideal for travelling too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee 3 tbsp+ 2 tbsp
  4. Cardamom powder 1/4 tesp
  5. Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Dissolve sugar in half cup water.
  2. In a mixing bowl take flour. Add 3 tbsp ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  3. Add sugar water and knead well.
  4. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough in 3 portions. Roll each portion into thick flat disc.
  6. Heat griddle. When medium hot lower the flame to sim.
  7. Place one rolled flat bread on griddle. Flip after a minute. Wait for half minute. Now cook the flat bread keeping the flame on low by pressing with a cloth lad, evenly on both sides , patiently.
  8. Remove from griddle and top with ghee generously. Prepare all mitho lolo same way.
  9. Wrap in kitchen napkeen and serve at room temperature with spicy pickle.
