  • turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  • pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • tamarind juice squeezed- 1 cup
  • coriander powder- 1spoon
  • cumin Powder- 1tsp
  • oil- 2tbsp
  • coriander leaves- little to garnish
  • onions- 3 ( finely chopped)
  • ginger garlic paste- 1 spoon

How to make Fish gravy

  1. Clean fish slices with salt and turmeric to avoid any chance of food poisoning.
  2. Heat a large non stick pan and add oil
  3. Now add finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes.
  5. Now add salt, turmeric, Chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin powder, Pepper powder and saute for few minutes. Now add tamarind extract juice and mix well. Now add 2 glasses of water and bring it to a boil.
  6. Now gently add fish pieces and let it cook in slow flame for atleast 15 minutes.
  7. When the sauce thickens, switch off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it with hot rice.

My Tip:

Fish gravy tastes great after 1 or 2 hours as the fish pieces get soaked in the spices and tamarind sauce .
