Sel Roti

Ingredients to make Sel Roti

  • 2 cup rice(soaked atleast 5 hours)
  • 1 Cup water
  • 4 tsp oil
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 and half cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/5 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/5 cup sugar(as per taste)
  • oil for fry

How to make Sel Roti

  1. Drain water from soaked rice and grind it with oil.
  2. Place in large mixing bowl then add semolina,flour,baking powder,cinnamon powder.
  3. In a pan heat suger with water and make thick liquid of it and mix into rice better and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in pan make sure that amount of oil is excess that when drop Roti in it,swim in oil for all sides.
  5. Now fill mixture in piping bag and make round shape Roti in oil carefully becouse oil is so hot,when one side cook flip it and cook other side to till light brown in colour.
  6. traditionaly serve it hot with mutton curry and pickle.

My Tip:

Traditionally use banana in it but increase it's shelf life skip banana from this,use cinnamon powder for change.
