Meet Mirsang Surmai/ Kingfish Fry

Ingredients to make Meet Mirsang Surmai/ Kingfish Fry

  • 6 King fish fillets
  • To grind
  • 9 kashmiri chillies
  • 3 Guntur chillies
  • 3/4 tsp jeera/ cummin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 small ball of tamarind
  • Little water to make a paste
  • oil about - 1-2 tsps
  • salt to taste

How to make Meet Mirsang Surmai/ Kingfish Fry

  1. Make a paste of all of the above ingredients (To Grind)
  2. Marinate the fish with 2 tbsps of ground masala for about 1/2 an hour
  3. Take a non stick pan and place the fish, after about 2-3 minutes, turn the fish and then add oil
  4. Let it cook till slightly brown and then turn over and on moderate flame let it brown on the other side as well.

My Tip:

You can add garam masala and ginger garlic paste to this.
