Ingredients to make tilapia do piyaja

  • 4 tilapia fish pieces ( big sized tilapia)
  • 2hopped onion
  • onion paste 2 tbspn
  • green chilly paste 2tspn
  • ginger paste 1Tbspn
  • garlic paste 1 tbaon
  • tomato 1.chopped
  • oil,salt,sugar,chopped coriander,turmeric powder,red chilli powder
  • garam masala paste 1 tspn( cardamom, cinnamon, clives)

How to make tilapia do piyaja

  1. clean, wash.the fish pieces.. marinate with salt and turmeric
  2. heat oil in a pan..fry chopped onion till brown..set aside
  3. heat oil in a pan,fry fish pieces well..remove..keep aside...put..onion paste and tomato chopped.. fry a bit...with sugar....then add green chilli paste..keep frying.. simmer the heat..add garlic paste..salt.. add some more oil in this stage..keep fry till the oil come out from side.
  4. add turmeric, red chilli powder,salt in water...mix..then add to the pan..cover the pan with a lid..bring into a boil
  5. add fried fish pieces..cook till it get into a thik oily gravy..put off oven
  6. now add garam masala paste,chopped coriander, fried onion...mix into gravy
  7. sprinkle some chopped coriander and fried onion over the top for garnishing
  8. serve hot..with rice

My Tip:

add curd instead of water to make more oily gravy
