Ingredients to make Palak paneer

  • palak 1kg
  • paneer 250 gms
  • clarified butter or ghee 3tsp+1tbsp
  • garlic cloves 8 _10
  • Green chilli 5
  • onion 1 small
  • tomato 2 small
  • salt according to taste
  • chilli powder 1/2tsp
  • Garam masala 1tsp
  • malai 1tbsp
  • tomato slices for Garnishing

How to make Palak paneer

  1. Clean,and wash Palak.
  2. Boil palak along with garlic green chilli salt..After one whistle for 20-25 minutes on low flame
  3. Make a paste of onion and tomatoes
  4. Heat ghee in a woke saut onion paste till ghee separates add spices saut for 1 minute add Malai and saut on high till oil completely separate
  5. Meanwhile make a smooth paste out of palak(drain the excess water).cut paneer into bitesize cubes.
  6. Transfer palak paste in kadai and let it simmer for about 15 minutes
  7. Microwave paneer cubes for 30 seconds to drain excess water
  8. Add paneer into palak just before serving
  9. At the time of serving pour hot ghee over the dish and garnish

My Tip:

You can use excess palak water in soups its very healthy
