Ingredients to make Tasty kachoris

  • 1 1/2 cup maida
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 1 tablespoon atta
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For the filling
  • 3/4 cup moong dal soaked and coarsely ground
  • 1 BUNCH CORIANDER LEAVES CHOPPED
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 5 green chillies chopped finely
  • 1/2 teaspoon haldi powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon hing powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to make Tasty kachoris

  1. Make a stiff dough with the Maida , atta , salt , curd , ghee and water.
  2. Cover with damp cloth and leave aside.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a kadhai. Add the jeera for tempering. Add the hing.
  4. Add the coarsely ground moong dal and mix well.
  5. Add haldi, salt , sugar, green chillies , coriander leaves and mint leaves.
  6. Saute for two minutes.
  7. Add the garam masala and lime juice. Mix well.
  8. Remove from fire when moong dal is cooked and dry.
  9. Make small balls from the Maida dough. Roll small rounds and fill with the prepared mixture. Seal well to make kachoris.
  10. Deep fry in medium hot oil till crisp , fluffy and golden.
  11. Drain on absorbent kitchen towel and serve hot with chutney of your choice.
