Rava Roti

Ingredients to make Rava Roti

  • Rava :- 1 Cup
  • water :- 1 Cup
  • Carom Seeds:- 1tsp
  • turmeric:- 1 tsp
  • Hing/asafoetida:- 1 tsp
  • salt:- as per your taste
  • ghee:- 1 tsp
  • wheat flour :- for rolling rotis

How to make Rava Roti

  1. Boil water in pan add turmeric powder,hing,carom seeds,ghee and salt
  2. Once its boile nicely, bring down the flame and add Rava/suji and give a nice mix until rave absorbs all water.
  3. Cover with lid and switch off flame and let this rava dough cools down for 5 mins
  4. Now put some oil or ghee in our hand and kneed this dough nicely
  5. Now take a small ball of dough and roll it like rotis using dry wheat powder(atta)
  6. Heat Tava, once its nicely hot place roti and cook until it changes color from top
  7. Flip the other side and cook, now apply ghee on both side and cook in slow flame
  8. Serve Hot with chutney, raita or pickle

My Tip:

Please note while cooking roti in tava do not flip roti until it cooks completely on one side or else roti will break
