Ingredients to make Pan Seared Chicken Breast in Red Wine Sauce

  • chicken Breast -2
  • Unsalted butter - 4 tbsp
  • Red wine vinegar - 1/3 cup
  • chicken /Vegetable broth - 1/4 cup
  • onion -1 small (Finely chopped)
  • Whipping cream -1 tbsp
  • salt -to taste
  • pepper powder -1 tsp

How to make Pan Seared Chicken Breast in Red Wine Sauce

  1. *Heat 1 tbsp butter in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.cook the chicken breast about 5 minutes per side.Keep it aside.
  2. *Heat the same pan ,add the red wine vinegar,chicken broth,chopped onion.cook it medium heat until the liquid reduced to 2 tbsp.
  3. *Now the reduce the heat to medium ,slowly add the cream,stir it with remaining butter ,1 tbsp butter at a time.
  4. *Now the sauce has thickened slightly ,season with salt and pepper according your taste.switch off the flame.
  5. *Serve the sauce over the chicken breast with sauted vegetables or mashed potatoes.

My Tip:

*Dont reduce the amount of butter. *Instead of red wine vinegar you can substitute with apple juice. *I served with green peas and baby carrot sauted in little butter and some mixed mesclun salad.
