Ingredients to make Sweet Potato halwa / Shakkerkandi halwa

  • Sweet potato : 2 cup boiled, peeled and mashed.
  • Uunsalted butter : 50 g
  • Dry fruits (almonds, kishmish, kaju) : 1/4 cup
  • sugar to taste
  • Cardamon powder : 1/2 tsp

How to make Sweet Potato halwa / Shakkerkandi halwa

  1. Heat a non stick kadai. Add butter in it. Now add mashed sweet potato and mix well. Cook it on slow stirring ocassionally for 10-15 min. Add sugar and mix well. Cook it till all the sugar mixes properly and water leaches out from the sugar dries up. Switch off the flame.
  2. Add nuts and cardamon powder and mix well. Transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish with nuts on top.
  3. Serve warm.
