Ingredients to make Green Onion Chutney..

  • Green onion bunch 1 large
  • tomato 1
  • Red onion 1
  • salt to taste
  • coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • garlic cloves 3-4
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • FOR THE TEMPERING::
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • curry leaves a few
  • Dry red chilli 3 to 4

How to make Green Onion Chutney..

  1. Heat oil and add the coriander seeds and the garlic cloves.
  2. After sauteeing for a while, add the chopped onion and the green onion chopped finely.
  3. After 2 mins, add the chopped tomato. Cook until tender.
  4. After 10 mins, switch off the flame and let it cool.
  5. Blend all into a smooth paste and use as little water as possible.
  6. Temper the chutney and serve hot with plain rice and fish fry. It tastes heavenly.
