Chocolate Cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate Cake

  • almonds 1/4 cup
  • raisins 1/4 Cup
  • Chocolate (dairy milk) shredded 1/2 cup
  • seived maida 1 cup
  • powdered sugar 1.5 cup
  • olive oil 1/2 cup
  • eggs 2
  • baking powder 3/4 tea spoon
  • Baking soda 1/4 tea spoon
  • cocoa powder 2 tea spoon
  • coffee powder a pinch
  • amul cream 2 small packs
  • brown sugar 2 tea spoon
  • Vanilla essence Few drops
  • fondant white
  • edible black colour
  • Edible Red colour
  • golden balls edible
  • Piping bag

How to make Chocolate Cake

  1. Starts with creaming oil and half of the amount of icing sugar for 5 minutes, add brown sugar and mix it till smooth. Add eggs one by one and vanilla essence, mix well and keep it aside. Pre heat the oven at 180 degree C.
  2. Whisk all dry ingredients together and add to the mixture, do not over mix it other wise the cake will be flat.
  3. Add nuts and raisins to it. pour in tin and bake it for 25 minutes or when the toothpick comes out clean
  4. Meanwhile, make the whipped cream by whipping amul cream and then add icing sugar and cocoa powder to it. keep in fridge for some time
  5. when cake bakes completely let it cool and slice it
  6. layer the cake with whipped cream and then cover it with swirling design, i chose this design to save time, its very easy
  7. then take a square piece of fondant and create the design
  8. your romantic anniversary cake is ready

My Tip:

I add a dash of coffee to enhance the taste of chocolate
