ABOUT Nolen gur phirni RECIPE

The usual phirni with a twist. Gobindo bhog rice and Nolen gur....the yummiest possible combination. These days nolen gur is available in handy tubes..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 litre milk
  2. 150 ml Nolen gur ( you may use the solid version, the patali gur grated quantity 1/2 cup)
  3. 1/4 cup gobindo bhog rice soaked and coarsely ground

Instructions

  1. Boil milk. Turn off heat. Keep stirring.
  2. Add the rice paste mixed with a little milk to give a pouring consistency. Add this in a constant stream stirring constantly.
  3. Turn on the gas to cook the rice paste . Remember to stir constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and add the gur.
  5. Stir to mix well.
  6. Do not need to put on the heat again.
  7. Divide into individual serving bowls.
  8. Chill in the fridge. Garnish with a little more gur and serve.
