ABOUT Dal Parantha RECIPE

The best way to use up leftover dal or the dal that your family doesn't it. Spicy enough to eat as they are, or use as tacos or even as quesadillas or a base for nachos. Or just to have as they are as a complete meal with dahi.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups prepared dal
  2. 2 cups atta
  3. 1 tsp finely chopped ginger and garlic
  4. 3-4 tsp finely chopped corriander leaves
  5. 2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  6. Desi ghee or neutral vegetable Oil to fry
  7. 1 tsp Salt
  8. 2-3 tbsp finely chopped onions -optional

Instructions

  1. Place the atta in a large bowl. Add the salt , chopped onions ,ginger, garlic and coriander leaves.
  2. Use the dal to knead the dough . Don't use any water at all. Knead to a stiff dough. Cover and rest 10minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls. Roll out the dough ball with the help of dry flour. Spoon half tsp oil or ghee over and fold over to make a ball . Roll out to make a parantha.
  4. Place on a hot area and cook both sides.
  5. To make quesidila lightly fry one side of 2 paranthas. Lay the parents fried side down. Place a cheese onion and tomato mix over and cover with another parantha. Fry on hot gridle. Cut and serve.
