Chocolate Dump Cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate Dump Cake

  • 4 - eggs
  • 300 gms - sugar
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 110 gms - butter
  • 1 tbsp - vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cups - cake flour
  • 5 tbsp - corn starch
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 cup - cocoa powder

How to make Chocolate Dump Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Grease a square cake pan.
  2. Gently heat the butter and milk till the butter melts. Remove from heat but keep it warm.
  3. Whisk the eggs and add the sugar, a little at a time. Keep whisking on high speed for about 5 minutes till it is white and foamy.
  4. Add the flour, salt, baking powder and corn starch. Now slowly add the milk-butter mixture whisking well after each addition. Divide the batter into two. To one half add the cocoa powder.
  5. Pour the white batter into the cake tin. Pour the cocoa batter on top. Swirl the two gently using a toothpick. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until done.
