ABOUT Phulka RECIPE

Phulka or puffed roti is a tradional indian flat bread made with whole wheat flour.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  2. Water for keading 1/2 to 3/4 cup
  3. A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a large bowl.
  2. Add salt and mix
  3. Add water little by little and start kneading.
  4. Knead to make a soft dough.
  5. When done keep the dough covered under a wet kitchen towel for 20 mins
  6. After resting time divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  7. Take a ball of dough sprinkle some whole wheat flour on it and roll it into thin circles.
  8. In the mean time preheat a skillet.
  9. Once rolled cook the phulka in medium heat until puffy.it will take approximately 2- 3 mins to cook each phulka.
  10. Serve them hot.
  11. You can also serve phulka with a tsp of ghee smeared on it if you want.
