When love is in the air, brownies with white chocolate make it even better

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup brown sugar
  2. 1 cup Castor Sugar
  3. 1 cup refined oil
  4. 4 Eggs
  5. 2 tsp vanilla essence
  6. 3/4 th cup Cocoa Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  8. 1 cup refined flour
  9. 200 gms plain cream
  10. 400 gms white chocolate
  11. A few drops pink colour

Instructions

  1. To make the brownies.
  2. Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius
  3. Prepare a 9x13 " Brownie pan or cake tin by greasing it with oil then dusting it with all purpose flour
  4. In a large bowl, add all ingredients except, flour, chocolate, cream and colour.
  5. Beat well.
  6. Now add the flour and mix lightly with a spatula.
  7. Pour into the pan and spread the batter evenly
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
  9. While the brownies are in the oven, heat the cream in the microwave for about one minute. You will see bubbles forming on the sides of the vessel.
  10. Crush the chocolate into small pieces.
  11. Add the chocolate into the cream and mix well till the chocolate dissolves fully.
  12. If the chocolate cools, heat in bursts of 10 seconds, till the chocolate dissolves.
  13. Mix colour to your liking and keep aside.
  14. Remove the brownies when done. Remove from the tray and let it cool for 15 minutes.
  15. With a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut into hearts.
  16. Pour the ganache with a spoon over the brownies.
  17. Let it set for a few minutes before serving.
